Who are we?
Kuk Sool Won™ is one of the traditional martial arts of Korea, with origins in the Buddhist Teachings, The Korean Royal Court and The Tribal Martial Arts. Kuk Sool Won™ is the systemic study of the traditional fighting arts. It was organized and founded by our Grandmaster, In Hyuk Suh, in 1958 and integrates a ginormous ciriculum based on thousands of years of history in Korea.
Kuk Sa Nim has developed a curriculum of learning which is now taught to 1.3 million students in 27 countries worldwide, at the core of these teachings is etiquette, respect, precision and self control. Kuk Sool Won™ is traditional martial art that is ideal for all ages and abilities.

Is Kuk Sool Won™ A Contact Sport?
Kuk Sool Won™ is a majorly non contact sport, the utmost care is always taken to ensure out students stay safe. When we practice our techniques occasionally takedowns are practiced on mats but before students reach that stage they are taught how to safely break fall. We run sparring classes regularly but proper protective gear is always utilized to ensure that everyone stays safe.

Can I Try Kuk Sool First And See If I Like It?
Absolutely! We offer two free classes before you choose if Kuk Sool Won™ is right for you. When you come to your introductory classes we recommend that you wear loose clothing like trackpants and a t-shirt.
When And Where Are The Classes
Classes are held at Pukekohe High School (14 Harris Street), on Mondays, and Thursdays. More information is available on our contact page.
Do We Hold Sparring Classes?
We aim to hold sparring classes at least once a month. We train under the WKSA sparring guidelines, and provide students with the opportunity to enhance their technique, agility and strategic thinking.
